Creating Numbering Schemes
You only need to create new numbering schemes if you want to add more numbering schemes for different types of records, such as different Change Orders.
- From the SmartSolve Portal Page, click the Home tab.
- In the Setup and Policy section, click Setup.
- In the System Wide section, click Numbering Scheme.
Result: All available numbering schemes are displayed in the Numbering Schemes window.
- Click Action > Add.
- Enter the scheme code and name for the new numbering scheme.
- Enter the start number for the next record using this numbering scheme.
- Enter the format by which the record will be standardized.
NOTE: Make sure to use the { } character when identifying your number format or you will receive system errors when attempting to save your record.
- Click the Save button.
Result: The new numbering scheme has been added.
